Egypt Small Group & Private Tours
Every trip we run is private to your own group. There are no open departures where you are placed with strangers - what we call small group means your group, however small.

This matters more in Egypt than in most places. A private guide means you leave at dawn when the site is empty, stay an hour longer at Karnak because you are enjoying it, and skip the papyrus shop entirely.
It also means the day is yours to change. Group tours in Egypt run to a schedule set by the coach; private tours run to a schedule set by you and adjusted on the morning if the weather or your energy says so.
If you are two people, it is a private tour for two. If you are a family of nine, it is a private tour for nine. The price per person falls as the group grows, but the format does not change.
Private Guided Tours
Your own guide, your own vehicle, your own pace. This is the default rather than an upgrade.

Family and Group Packages
Sized for a family travelling together, with the pace and the vehicle built around who is actually coming.

Private Cruise Options
Cruises where the shore excursions run privately for your group rather than as a coach party of forty.

What private actually buys you
- Dawn starts, so you reach the big sites before the coaches.
- The ability to stay longer somewhere you are enjoying.
- No commission stops at papyrus or perfume shops unless you want them.
- A guide who answers your questions, not a microphone for forty people.
- A plan that can change on the morning if the weather or your energy says so.
Good to know
- Tell us your interests before you arrive - the itinerary is built around them.
- Say if you want a slower or faster pace; both are easy to arrange.
- Dietary requirements are straightforward if we know in advance.
- Children's ages help us size the vehicle and pace the days.
- Tipping the guide and driver is customary at the end.
Frequently asked
Do you run group tours with other travellers?
No. Every tour we run is private to your own group. If you see the phrase small group here, it means your group is small - not that you will be joined by strangers.
Is a private tour much more expensive?
Less than people expect, and the gap narrows quickly as the group grows. For four or more it is often comparable to a group departure once the extras are counted.
Can we change the itinerary once we are there?
Yes. That is the main advantage. Tell your guide in the morning and the day is rearranged.
What size vehicle do we get?
One sized to your group - a car for two, a minibus for a family, a coach for a large party. Always private and air-conditioned.
